Dear Friend,

Next time you see a child beggar on the street, don’t give them money, give them Mitra instead, and extend the invisible bond of Mitra (friendship) that ties us all together! Mitra is the labor of love of a young, compassionate 13 - year - old boy, Jai Thapar. When his car stopped at the traffic lights, he saw people giving money, biscuits, or some leftovers to the street beggars. He wanted to create something better than any of these options as a replacement. After researching various ingredients and formulations, yet keeping them reasonably priced, he created thesr bar with all the goodness of almonds, foxtail, dates, cranberry and dark chocolate while having no added sugar. The product has <x> calories that can serve as a mini-meal for those children.

 

What’s more: he is going to donate 50% of the profits to Door Step School, a quest started in 1989 when Prof. Rajani Paranjpe started DSS, with the aim of providing literacy to the marginalized sections of society. DSSF aims to carry forward the legacy and take education to the door step of many more children.

Over the last 30+ years, we have created a positive impact in lives of over 1.5 Million children across Pune and Mumbai. 

And continue to reach more than 70,000 children annually in Pune since last 6 years.

An estimated 18 Million children live on streets in India, support this small initiative and make a little difference in the lives of these children, 1 Mitra Bar at a time!
